Wild Water Race #4 Black Swan Winery Race Report
The 4th of 6 races for the 2015 Wild Water Season was held on the18th of July
The course was from Bells Rapids _ below Boland’s Elbow and finish at Amiens Crescent, Baskerville
The Wildwater Racing continued this morning with the 4th race of the series. With a water level at 0.17m, the only wild part of the river was the ducks scrambling to get out of the way. We paddled from below Bolland’s Elbow (Bells Rapids) and finished at Amiens Cres. Some paddlers got through without portaging and managed to duck under the obstacles while others bashed and crashed their way to the finish. At the finish, there were plenty of smiles and stories to tell and we finished of with some great spot prizes donated by the Black Swan Winery.
Dave Worthy was impressive again with a solid 1minute win over Ben Pope and Wayne Martin.
Sue Quick was too good in the ladies .
In the Wavehoppers, Peter G outclassed the rest of the field and continues his dominance over the plastic WWR class.
