Upper Swan Race
The third of six (6) races for the 2015 Wild Water season was held on the 28th of June starting from the bottom of Amiens and finishing at Barrett Street Bridge. The race encompasses mostly flowing water with longer passages of flat pools. Expect a narrow winding river with plenty of overhanging branches from T trees to provide some resistance.
Race Report
Again we had a great turn out, considering the lack of water but still a challenging race. Dave Worthy is owning the series with another outstanding time and for the girls, Sue Quick smashing the field with another great time.
Peter Gigengack was unbeatable in the wave hopper class as he fought a competitive Dave Tupling and Ken Miller. Only 30 seconds between 1st and third.
Well done to everyone who competed and staying back for a social chat and some hot soup. Another group effort from the committee members, thank you.
